The head of state traveled to meet with national troops in the eastern front on Tuesday. The president confirmed that he engaged with soldiers at the military base of the 1st Corps of the Ukrainian National Guard Azov, which is conducting a defensive operation in the Dobropillya area, a location approximately a short distance from the focal point.

Critical Situation in Pokrovsk

Geospatial data from a local initiative showed that Russian forces had made gains into Pokrovsk and nearby locations, though significant areas remained beyond firm control by either side. The status is precarious, with updates indicating that invading units were fortifying positions and enhancing fortifications in certain areas.

Invading troops are making progress in the Pokrovsk front and are reportedly acting with increasing comfort within the city proper.

Military experts noted that national troops had liberated a significant portion of a Russian penetration in the Dobropillya direction, on the eastern edge of the Pokrovsk campaign.

Ukrainian Drone Strikes Inside Russia

Ukrainian long-range drones struck a factory approximately over 800 miles inside Russian territory at Sterlitamak. City administration confirmed a blast at the industrial complex that caused its water treatment facility to be compromised, adding that the reason for the blast was undetermined. The Ukrainian military general staff stated there was significant destruction to the plant.

Defense units reported hitting a fuel processing plant at the location in the Russian region to the east of the capital. The extent of the damage was being assessed. The local official acknowledged a strike by multiple unmanned aircraft near Kstovo.

Moscow's Defense Legal Adjustments

Russian military reservists will now have to guard oil refineries against Ukrainian drone strikes after the Russian leader enacted a decree on the weekday expanding their participation in the war effort. The national leader also enacted a decree authorizing recruitment continuously whereas previously it was possible only during specific times in fall and spring. Russian law prohibits conscripts from being sent to battle, but after their defense commitment they join the reserve forces, putting them at risk of being sent to war.

Significant armed forces costs have also started to pressure the national finances, with Moscow raising taxes to address growing shortfalls.

The President's Requests for Global Assistance

The national leader appealed to Washington to remain open to delivering to the nation with long-range weapons. Appealing to European leaders from the Pokrovsk area, the Ukrainian president also requested more global measures on Russia – including on Russia's gas and nuclear sectors – and said he sought accession to the union before 2030.

International Aid and Political Updates

The European nation plans to increase defense support to Ukraine by €3bn next year to about a significant sum, the finance ministry in the capital said on the weekday. This includes, among other things, artillery, unmanned aircraft, protected carriers and the exchange of missile defense equipment.

Scandinavian arms producer Nammo has established a cooperation framework with a Ukrainian industrial partner to make, design and market arms in the nation.

Italy requested the envoy's presence on the weekday to challenge what it said were offensive, disturbing and unacceptable statements by Moscow's foreign ministry spokeswoman who associated the tragic event of a structure in Italy to Italy's military support for Ukraine. The government representative stated that the nation would maintain its international position or its standards in reaction to careless statements. The Russian embassy in Rome later expressed sympathy for the death of a construction employee in the incident but used the chance to object that the angry response to the comments was biased against Russia.
